On 6-13-20 around 1931 hours, Engine 11 responded to a 2 vehicle crash at 40th Street and Pacific Ave. While en route, additional information was that one of the vehicles was on fire. Engine 11 requested Engine 14 to assist. Upon arrival, Engine 11 up graded the incident to a commercial fire as one of the vehicles was fully engulfed against the building. Crews had their hands fully because not only dealing with the vehicle fire, they were now treating 7 patients with 3 being children. Additional resources of ambulances were requested with U.S Navy Region Mid-Atlantic Fire-Rescue provided 2 ambulances. The fire was under control within 15 minutes and 7 patients were transported to area hospitals. Their conditions are not known at this time. The crash is under investigation by the VBPD.
